so this is Iggy he is our newest family member. he is still a baby so he is still small, in the pic below you can kinda see how small he is, and then his tail is about double the length of his body... he is a cutie!!! and my cat, OH BOY, he is still trying to get use to him being up in my scrapbook room. i caught him pawing the glass of his little home... MEOWING all concerned sounding. hee hee it's funny to watch his little curious self.
Anyway, Iggy is pretty cool, once you get him out of his cage he'll just chill up on your arm or shoulder, it'll be soo cool once he gets big. but really this is suppose to be a temp. home for iggy. he's first parents deena and josh just got a big ol' salt water fish tank that was as big as iggy's home so they had to put him somewhere else and it just looked and felt crowded... so mark offered to take him till they get a house....and we keep tellin them they'll want him back when they get a house but josh is pretty sure that we'll be attached by then... lol and it's prolly true cause i just think he is soo neat.... they also gave us their FRESH water fish tank too.. so it's like "marks little ark" up in our house. lol
we got the tank with 3 fish, a beta "Beta", a cat fish "Chunk", and a loch "Coolio". they got home, everything is fine and dandy! within a couple of days mark and i go to the pet store and get one of those "sucky fish" and a rainbow shark "billie Ocean" so the next few days go by, no problems. and then one day im up in my scrapbook room and i hear mark yell "HUN, com'mere!" im like UGH! WHAT! lol and he said that the little sucky fish was about dead and looked like he was ripped to shreds :( so we were watchin and seen that beta was circling him and nipped at him... so mark was like what do i do, i said (JOKINGLY) f*ck that... i'd THUNK a fish! lol meaning he is a bad fishy and needs a spankin! lol so we are sitting there watching them and then beta gets close to him and is staring him down and then he bites him again... LOL so mark pops him on the head with his finger! HEE HEE HEE i have never laughed so hard.. but mark was seriously PISSED! lol he was like F*CK THAT FISH, I'LL GET RID OF HIS ASS!! lol well for about 10 mins after being thunked on the head, beta was pretty pissed himself cause he was all the way at the bottom of the tank with his fins all out (which i found out later means they are on FULL DEFENSE) ready to FIGHT!

hee hee so anyway come to find out.. or at least this is MY speculation... betas blow bubbles when they are ready to nest and it makes this little bubble nest at the top of the water... well im pretty sure that beta was doing that nd the little sucky fish was trying to "do his job", clean and was poppin his nest, so he got pissed about it... and KILLED the little sucky fish :( we didn't even get a chance to NAME him he was gone so quick! so in that little fishy's defense we went and bought a BIG sucky fish. he is about 4 inchs long and has a HEAD about the size of a quarter! lol he is huge! needless to say, beta don't mess with him too much!

we went and bought a gurly beta for Beta because if he is blowing bubbles that means he needs a female so we got "Princess" hee hee (bet you can't figure out who named that fish) she is prettyful, she is PURPLE! (my fav) and i named her princess for linzy. ;) so we are all excited and so is beta cause he keeps puffing out his neck to show her how pretty he is... and then billie ocean (rainbow shark) keeps nippin at princess.. so NOW IM all pissed off and ready to THUNK a fish in the nog! LOL stay OFF my princess! i think that billie ocean is pregnant cause her belly is all big and stuff and it wasn't like that before. so i think she is being a little B because she is pregnant... i dunno it's weird! LOL
so that's my animal kingdom highlights... hee hee i guess mark is like a farmer when he gets up... lol feed the CAT first (always first, first before ANYTHING, otherwise he'll annoy the SHIT out of you), feed the fish and feed the lizard. At least iggy doesn't eat like pinkies or anything... BLEH! he just eats lettus and apples or carrots everynow and then. ;) i couldn't imagine feeding something a LIVE something... LOL NOWAY! :O
well it's just about that time - you know... GO HOME TIME! whoo hoo! is it friday yet?!?!?!?
