Like sands through the hour glass...

So I have a secrete.. lol it’s like the kind of secrete like… “I LIKE BOY BANDS” lol or “my guilty pleasure is 80’s music”…. You know, stuff like that!

So what is the secrete? Yea yea im getting to it.

Lets see.. BACK IN THE DAY I use to live with my grandma and she would watch Days of our lives so of course I would either watch it or go out side to play… needless to say I’d be outside! Cause im the type of person that ROLLS my eyes at soap operas I think they are corney and just OMG soooooo DRAMATIC! ::::::gasp:::::::: and it’s beyond me why people even watch them cause you know stuff happends in the stories that are totally NOT real, like people coming back from the dead and chicks loosing their memory so many times they have like 5 different LIVES! I mean… COME ON!!!

But I have to confess….
Hi my name is Amanda (everyone: “hi Amanda”) and I have a soap opera addiction (everyone: gasp!!!), I know, I know and it’s to Days of Our Lives! UGH! I know, right! :::Shaking head at self:::: I DVR it every single day… ::::::lowers head, shamefully::::: let me begin on how it… um, began! HA HA Ha

I usually take my lunch here at work around 12… sometimes I go a little later but it’s usually within the 12 o’clock frame, I’ll go to a fast food joint and then go home (cause we have no food in the house) well one day it was almost 1 before I got to go to lunch, I wasn’t hungry but I went to the fast food place (prolly mc d’s) and then took my happy meal eatin ass on home. Im sitting there eating my food watching the ass end of the news and this soap opera comes on. I immediately recognize the faces from BACK IN THE DAY when I was young, my grandma use to watch this show faithfully. And it’s pretty funny that I haven’t seen this show for, I’d say 13 years or more and I picked right up on everything like I had never even left! That’s crazy shit… 13 years and everything is still the same. So here I sit watching the love trios like bo, hope and billy or sami carri and Austin now the babies that were on the show when iwas watchin the 1st time are like my age, married with kids and stuff (soap opera years must be like CAT years or something). Anyhow, just thought you guys should know that my embarrassing addition is Days of our lives.

Kenturkey boredisms

Geez I never new you guys were soo damn demanding around here. So this is what i think about that!

LOL ;) I dont really have anything to talk about I mean I havent had anything go on that is exciting or interesting or NOT EVEN interesting! (hence the NO BLOGGING for the past week) LOL I have just been working and going home and going to cheerleading practice watching American idol and going to sleep only to wake up and do it all over again. NICE HUH? Naw I didnt think so! BORING but not even interesting. My father in law and my mom both had birthdays so i had to make them birthday cards and i have been working on linzy's scrapbook for her 8th grade graduation. it's turning out pretty cute! ;) i'll have to post pics for the FEW people out there that really give a big fat crap!

So right now I am at work with my lil cracked out brother here with me luckily for him they (catholic schools) are out yesterday and today.. whoo hoo.

So where does he go? DAMN your good, yep, he gets to sit here at work with me all day, POOR KID! He is actually pretty good for the most part I mean he has ADD so there is a little gitteriness going on by the end of the day but otherwise pretty good. He has been freaking out over the internet for he past 2 days cause he got introuble and had his game boy taken away (his father doesn't want him to become a "zombie") so he had to take it away cause hunter hasn't been listening to his parents... BUT we have been searching the internet faithfully for pokemon cheats, so if any of you guys PLAY pokemon emerald version then GIVE UP THE CHEATS! lol i have been looking for him also but it seems like no one has any information about the emerald version, it's all about the ruby and saphire. oo i should put some pics of lil mans drawings... the kid has a talent that is UNEXPLAINABLE! he has been drawing since 3 or so, maybe earlier than that! but he was already drawing BETTER than me and most people i know by the time he was 4! CRAZY! SO i'll have to take some pics of them for you guys, he is AWESOME!

My big mouth got me introuble again.. lol I was informed that my cousins boyfriend of a little over a year broke up with her and I was worried about her cause I know that she loves him A LOT but I was talking to linzy about it and OF COURSE the first thing she did was call our cousin and say I heard he broke up with you? And she was like whered you hear that well needless to say the informer and my self got introuble. UGH! I guess thats what we get for being a small family chalk full of GURLS! The gossip ring goes like this my aunt terri lynn, my mom, me, linzy and jill. Jill is the one that the gossip is usually about so thats why she is last! Sometimes its in a different order but for this little ordeal it was kinda like this. LOL I dunno its crazy, I talk to my mom about everything even when I was younger we had a good relationship but my thought is this. If you are embarrassed that your mom is gonna find out that you are doing something you shouldnt or know isnt right. THEN DONT DO IT! And if you are gonna do it anyway DONT FREAKING TELL PEOPLE ABOUT IT! More often than NOT someone is gonna find out and that leaves to MOM ALWAYS KNOWS ABOUT IT!

have you ever had someone say a word that is totally the WRONG way of saying it and the CONTINUE to say it, even after you tell them that's not how you say it? maybe it's just KENTUCKY and we got that southern TWANG or something but this freaking mechanic here at work always calls light bulbs, "BUBS" like without the L... like um HELLO there is a L sound in there... it's not BUBS it's BULLLLLB! and another one that someone else does is a manilla enevelope for some WEIRD reason it gets called a "VANILLA" envelope... hmmm interesting but i thought that vanilla was a flavor - and i don't recall envelope tasting so good! LOL im sure there are words that i pronounce wrong but if someone tells me that it's wrong then i'll correct and get use to the NEW way. it really makes my skin crawl to hear either of these words pronounced the way they are around here... UGH! country pumpkin M effers! water is werter with a er sound instead of ah-toilet is terlet with an er instead of oie sound... oh and ANOTHER one is IN MY OWN FAMILY! my aunts name is Terri Lynn and at work she goes by terri but our family calls her by the first and middle name so it's terralin like it's all smooshed together and almost sounds like carolyn :::: shaking head :::: my best friend robyn over at Robyns BLog has known me forever and for the first 5 years or so that we hung out she actually thought my aunts name was carolyn! LOL thats crazy... but thus is life i guess in KENTURKEY! hee hee :)

Well i guess that is all for now, until next week! hopefully i'll have a more eventful week for you guys or something! lol im thinking the weekend will be BLAH due to, no money but we still have movie gift certificates so maybe i'll do a movie review! LOL ;) we'll see

i am a Pine Tree (Peacemaker) -- loves agreeable company, craves peace and harmony, loves to help others, active imagination, likes to write poetry, not fashion conscious, great compassion, friendly to all, falls strongly in love but will leave if betrayed or lied to, emotionally soft, low self esteem, needs affection and reassurance.

isn't it funny how these stupid emails keep on getting RIGHT what kind of person i am.. LOL i mean aside from a few little things it's pretty much right on. it is soo generalized that it would fit anyone or did i really fall from a pine tree!?!?!? LOL so the BOLD statements above are the ones that i dont agree with. but if anyone that KNOWS me (outside of blogging) wants to disagree that's ok, but let me know K? hee hee i know that i don't have low self esteem, i would LIKE to write poetry but i don't, and i have a sense of fashion.. but i don't make it my life like some do... if you don't like what im wearing... GO SCREW YOURSELF! is how i see it.. LOL so the question should be DO I REALLY CARE? answer: NOPE! i like that about me... that for the most part unless im close with you i don't care what people think, which allows me to act a TARD and embarrase everyone around me.. :::shrugs:: and NOT CARE! hee hee ***evil grins**** my fav is to FART in the grocery and then say... "OMG MARK YOU SO NASTY!" hee hee he hates that! :) ok that was tmi!

WTF? its a Kentucky Flat Back

LOL I just went to wal-mart for some company supplies and when me and mark were on the way out we seen this girl.. she was pretty but she looked like she was fake cause she had this “tan” and her eye brows were drawn on and lined lips and YOU KNOW the type… but she was pretty, not taking that away from her… hee hee but I told mark wow she looks fake and mark was like yep looks like a doll and I was like yea one of those BRATZ dolls…. LOL bout that time she passes us up and we both turn back to check her out and she was wear these very unflattering pants. i just turned around with out a remark but mark was like OH NO!!! it’s a KENTUCKY FLAT BACK! HA HA HA HA I cracked up! That was the best laugh I have had all WEEK long!!!! Lol so im totally gonna use that on my sister next time she wears something that makes her ass look like a pancake! ::::evil grins:::::

Speaking of my sis, :::: shaking head :::: ya’ll wont believe this lol or maybe you WILL if you know her. First of all you have to know that she is a big fat weirdo.. she has to have her reese cups WARM… hee hee so she put the little bit size kind in the microwave to warm them up a little, well I guess she hasn’t had that part in science class about the reaction of aluminum foil in the microwave yet… she said "I was like OMG red, blue and green sparks were shootin out of em!" She was freaking out and standing about 3 ft from the microwave reaching as far as she could to push the button to open the door and stop the heat.. her reenactment was pretty funny so I can only imagine what the real thing looked like… TEE HEE

So here lately I have been inspired by my friends that have gone back to school… i.e. Leslie, Robyn, Deena, Anthony and Christy. Props to my peeps! ;)
So I started checkin out the possibilities of going back to school, I mean not actually GOING cause I don’t have TIME for that, but you know the online schooling and the likes.
So I have been thinking what would I want to go back for? There is really nothing that college can offer me that I would be willing to spend a bazillion dollars for and LOVE… so I gave the idea up for a minute cause That’s the exact reason I quit college in the first place, I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do with my life and i didn't want to be a professional student and waste everyones money. So i dropped. I still have no clue really I just want to be HAPPY, and I am happy but I want to see if I can make some money doing something that I love… what do i love? hmmm mark? yea college degree in markyology? hee hee
And then like a flip of a SWITCH a light bulb came on and I was like I want to go to PHOTOGRAPHY school… So I went, on the internet of COURSE, to look up so info, like is there any school here in KY that offers classes in photography and that was a big fat NO! I think the closest school that offered it as an actual major was in OH or something but I kept searching and found a couple that sounded pretty good. So I sent out for information for two of the most ‘promising’ schools on the coasts… the art institute in Cali and the New york institute of photography (founded in 1910).
I got my info from the school in CA last week and it was HEART BREAKING! :( I was reading all the info and it sounded great but when I got to the tuition it was $550.00 per credit hour and each photo class was 3 credit hours!!!! That’s $1,650 just for ONE CLASS…. ONE CLASS and that’s not even counting the “extra class expenses” that were between 90 to 125! So I was just figuring it up and for me to take INTRO to photography and a perspective class it would be around 3200 for just two classes and there were about 15 before I could get in to the graduate classes… UGH! Soo depressing! I was like OMG… I guess NEVER MIND! Cause I couldn’t get enough grants or financial aid to help with the cost I was gonna have… it was a total let down… something that I thought I could do just ended up being further out of reach than anything I have ever dreamt before.

But a little glimps of hope came when the NYIP sent their info it’s more of a do it your self program, it’s not online at all and they have a really unique program from the other schools I looked at. They have 31 courses in all you pay a one time tuition of 998 OR you can pay in payments of $35.00 a month they give you 3 years to complete all the courses and you can withdrawal within the first 60 days (I think) and get a full refund! But they send you all the material with contact information about your student advisor and professors. So basically you do the course at your own pace and you do the photo projects have them printed or develop them yourself and then send it to your instructor (professional photographer). Then they audio record a critique of your work send it back to you. They also have dvd instructor discs so you can see how a professional would do what ever the course is pertaining to… so needless to say I am much more excited about this one than the other… cause it’s feasible! So I think im gonna do it… if I don’t achieve anything other than BETTER photos for my scrapbooks. ; ) heh heh. I asked mark what he thought and of course he was supportive about it but the only thing he said was to make sure that it’s a legit school and not a scam… so do any of you have any knowledge of the NYIP?? If so please let me know! THANKS
