MY sky collection
<~~~ SUN RISE
See the "rainbow" around the sun? this is a view of my 3 minute ride to work... BLECH, it's work... but at least it's pretty! :)
MY DAILY BUDDHIST WISDOM:
Focus, not on the rudenesses of others,
not on what they've done or left undone, but on what you have & haven't done yourself.
-Dhammapada, 4, translation by Thanissaro Bhikkhu.
I am TRYING to learn from my new "interest" I wont say religion cause i don't know that you can FULLY be a buddhist when you STILL BELIEVE IN GOD! :) i just don't know in which denomanation i want to worship him?
Im still NEW to all this stuff... so if you have anything to share about it.. please do so!
i tried to meditate for the first time this morning... it was relaxing and refreshing. i was sooo tired cause i woke up early to do it cause im sure it's easier to do that when your significant other isn't around. can't clear your mind with someone rushing around getting ready for work, right? but when i was done.. i felt better... and AWAKE! :) hee hee it's interesting... so i think maybe i'll look into it more!
yesterday i went to lunch with mom and her friend stacy and her brand new 2 month old baby! you should have seen my mother holdin this baby, i mean the picture says enough, you can see the little smile in her face.. yea, she couldn't STOP smiling.. lol that baby was ADORABLE and soo tiny, (I LOVE BABIES) but it was SICK! lol just down right gross how she was acting... ;)
but my mom isn't pushy like some other moms are, she is still like WAIT till the time is right for you all, just don't wait as long as my and pat did. im like dude if we wait till the "perfect" time to have a child, we'll never have one. i know what she is saying though, my parents had my lil brother when i was 17! yep started ALL OVER when they just about had me out of the house. But i do want a baby and the thought has been happening more and more here lately, i guess that's what happens when you GET OLD! i was showin mark the pics of her and he was like is that what you want? i was like WHAT? a baby? and he said yeah... i was like um... i don't know that im ready to give up my freedom yet! hee hee
i do know that it's alot easier to say i want a baby when your near a baby or holding one or something but what about when your with parents of teenagers and they are talking about their kid like they are little demons... lol THAT im not ready for! like marks little 13 year old cousin who just recently had a 2 night outting... told her mom that she was staying with dad... told her dad that she was staying with mom...stayed with a bunch of different people, i mean DAMN it's THAT easy huh? *shaking head* im SOOO not ready for that! Oh and the HIGHLIGHT of my lunch with mom... on the way back i got introuble for staying out 30 mins later than i should have. mom said "he knows your with me, don't worry about it." I KNEW he was going to act like he did, owell. YIPPIE for getting introuble!
my dad is a freaking goober... it's so hard sometimes to work with a BUNCH of guys... not one single other female is here now with terri gone...but she is kinda "butch" anyway so she didn't count... and well theres Staciey but she's a HE and they don't mess with him....er HER! IM the one the pick on all the time and it's worse now that mark doesn't work here they think im "fresh meat" or whatever but what they don't know is that im JUST as bad as they are! :) hee hee i have made a few LUDE comments myself some of which i can't post here due to some of my readers being family... but anyway my father (you all wonder where i get it from) put a damn static sticker on my car, god only knows how long it was there before someone noticed it... cause it's on my left BACK window and the head rest to the seat is right in the way, so i didn't even know it was there... but it says "my other ride is YOUR MOM" nice huh? im sure that's nice to look at when im droppin off or picking the kids up from school.. or maybe that im the DAMN cheerleading coach of a CATHOLIC school...lol think the mothers and fathers of the girls i coach will appreciate that? hee hee i could tell them that a PARENT did it... tee hee ;) but whatever it's all in the sense of humor you have and I FOR ONE HAVE ONE! thank you. i have ALWAYS loved a good your momma joke too :) that was my slogan for a while.. anything and everything was YOUR MOMMA! :) ANYHOW, i just wanted to let you all know that my dad is GOOBER - it runs in the family!
Well i guess i should get off here and do some work or something... the "Boss" is playing golf today so i don't have to worry about him bustin in on me, but i do have things that needs to be done before monday! :)
K Ya'll have a GREAT WEEKEND! :)

Nice sky photos...you go girl!
Buddhism is a philosophy that was/is so widely followed that it is called a religion (so technically you can still believe in God but the pursuit of spirituality by both religions would more than likely interfere). I won't be really of much help when it comes to that as I am a Taoist but I can certainly help give some pointers on meditation. :D
Hey those sky photos are really great but greater is that cute baby :-)
Meditation is a powerful thing and very good for the mind/body connection, which I think we all need in this country. Everyone would be less stressed and more happy with life and themselves, which we need tons more of. Anyway, I am a Christian and from my understanding Buddah and God are not the same, not "two in one" so to speak. Now you can say Jesus and God and mean "two in one" along with the Holy Spirit making "three in one," but Buddah and God are not the same. Buddah is a god but not the God Christians believe in (meaning the God but a different name cause it's a different religion.) Different religions have different beliefs and different god's from eachother. They all have the same moral view on most things such as; be nice to one another, love yourself, and that there is a Bigger Being out there that made everything and is in control of everything, but the "Bigger Being" is not the same for everyone because of the belief.
I think they have awesome "verses" of life to learn from and intertwine but for your main look on "which religion to worship him in" is different. Please learn all you can about many different religions becuase it will help you find where and what you really need and want to grow more spiritual in.
Blessings and prayers on your journey. Hope this wasn't too much of a response.
haha congrats on the tickets, ryan reynolds rules, espeically in van wilder.

snazzy dazzy. i really like those pictures! i have a couple of friends that are really into meditating--some lady teaches them different ways to go about doing it. they talk a lot about it and i think it's really helping them grow. i was talking to my roomate, josh, about it one day--in terms of the Bible, he's fairly knowledgable compared to me but he said that somewhere in it, it talks about how people should meditated and what not. maybe you could try to find the verses? figured i'd share the info with you. have a great day!
-you are funny!:) why does it make you itch? click on the photo and you can see all the little hairs!! oh goody! I don't like flies either. I am happy that fly season is OVER! but...I must say that we don't see very many in the city... not like my sister who lives in the country -they are everywhere!!! ewe! thanks for making me smile.
Well, in many ways prayer is meditation. But some of the earliest forms of true worship was just peaceful time to yourself and try to "connect" with the lord. (or whoever you're connecting with lol) But, buhdism is just one faith that practices meditation, many many others do. If it's the peacefulness thats drawing you to it, maybe you should look at some of the other aspects and make sure you believe in them also. =)
:::::And I know you haven't decided to have a kid yet, I was just making a comment so it didn't look like I overlooked that part of your blog. It doesn't matter to me if you all have kids, I'd actually miss being able to call and say hey come over. lol
