A Rainy Day In Graceland

I entered this photo in the International Open Amateur Photography Contest last month and today i got a letter from the Internation Library of Photography, it reads...

"After thoroughly reviewing and discussing your photograph, i am pleased to inform you that our Selection Committee has advanced your contest entry "Rainy day at Graceland," to the semi-finalist in the Travel category in the international..... (and so on) Your photo will now be automatically entered into final competition to be held in the Fall of 2005, where you now have an excellent chance of winning one of over 114 cash or gift prize--including the $1,000.00 Grand prize, you may even win the $10,000.00 Annual Grand Prize.... "

Also they went on to SWELL my head... "we feel you have a special talent and
look forward to the publication of your photograph in "Endless Journeys"

"Of the thousands of photographs we see each year, on ly a fraction can be
published. We are please that "rainy day at graceland" will appropriately
achieve the recognition that a national publication can give it."

So now im a Semi-finalist in a International photo contest AND im gonna be published in a freaking photography BOOK! WTF!!!! hee hee im feeling pretty damn good about that! :)

Regretful Tuesday! :(

DAMN it! :(
Due to the damn RAISE in the cost of LIVING around here... Pat (my boss and dad) has decided to lay off Terri... the other secretary for 2 months! to keep payroll down and yadda yadda WHOCARES! ugh...
that means i'll have less time to update and more time BY MY SELF WORKING! bleh!
you can tell how excited i am about this, yes? *snarls while rolling eyes*
so for november and decemeber i may have less posts than normal but i PROMISE i'll try to set aside time each day to come and check everyones blogs out! :) and post when i can
ANYHOW.. that's what's going on in my life right now.. Gee thanks.. MORE stress!!! just what i alwasy wanted! THANKS DAD! *snarling* once again.

my living room

well i have gone "SNAP HAPPY" in my house.. i think i am finally HAPPY with the way our living room looks... so i have been takin pics of it.. here are a few... and some "detail pics" i prolly should have lightend this pic a little but i haven't had time.. since my dad is in and out of the office today i am ON GUARD! hee hee ;) enjoy - and LEAVE LOTS A COMMENTS!

this fan, my hunny bought me for our 1st (paper) wedding anniversary - we just recently got it up on the wall! i LOVE IT!

this is the lamp that i made when we first moved and went with the "asian" theme... i painted them green instead of the baby blue they use to be and then i applied a piece of my "border" that lines two walls of the living room to match and then i went a bought a "rice paper" type shade to go with it.. i am very proud of these... because it was my OWN idea, nothing off a tv show or magazine! YAY GO ME! hee hee

UGH... thursday... one more day till friday in which i THANK GOD for! lol for one it's pay day and from the looks of my wallet it's been long overdue...broke broke broke. THUS IS LIFE!

two its the beginning of the flippin weekend ALSO long overdue! WHOO HOO for the weekend.. don't think i have much planned but hell who cares, a nice boring - nothin to do kinda weekend sounds just as good as if i was looking forward to a packed weekend......

yes.. yes i did BUT this time i'll be going with robyn and sean and mik and our "little family" its always fun to go to a place like that with little kids because they enjoy it so much.

i didn't win the POWERBALL~ EFFIN SHIT! the powerball was up around 340 million.. yep that's MILLION!

oh if i could only win the lottery! i would feel so much better about my finances for sure. i'd pay of my house and car and truck and all the credit debt me and mark have and the fix up my house the way i want it and build on and buy all new furniture and then invest a good portion of it, put away a part of it for a college fund for our unborn children and take a VACATION! for like a month! heh heh that sounds nice.... go to canada and asia and europe and germany and..... *wakes up from dream* oh.. hee hee sorry!

So if you had 340 MILLION what would you do with it????

Pok-her-punkin PARTY (poker / pumpkin)

Welp our 1st ANNUAL POKER PUMPKIN PARTY was a freakin blast! There was lots of people there and lots of eatin, drinkin, smokin, carvin, and gamblin goin on... what more could you ask for!

Everyones punkins truned out pretty good, i did the witch holding the pumpkin and mark did the cat - i don't know if it turned out so well in the pic below but i'll have a better one tomorrow or whenever i put the other pics of our YARD decorations up. ;) i love halloween.

anywho it was pretty funny watching our russian friend sasha carve his punkin... lol first when he was cutting the top to scoop out the guts he cut it with the wrong angle and ended up with a really big cut around but the inside cut was pretty small! lol i doubt his hand would have fit so he had adjust a bit. then he starts to carve or actually THINK about carving out one of the stencils that we had and decided that he was too effed up to be doin shit like that... so he is like "gimmie a crayon and a ruler" so we give the supplies and leave him alone for about 5 mins and voila! a STAR! lol he is soo silly he was done in a fraction of the time it took all of us to do ours and it was fab! hee hee plan simple and fab!

anthony was another one that was all messed up.. throwing pumpkins and wearing the hollowed little one as a hat! my peeps are CRAZY! ha ha ha

Anywho it's time for lunch now so i shall go... maybe add more later

Family Reunion

So the weekend.. was pretty busy we had lots to do... more pics to come! :) but for now pics of the KOEHLER family reunion... apparently that is my Grandma Anns last (maiden) name (something i never knew) and she has lots of brothers and sisters (also something i never knew)... all in all it was a good time. I enjoyed seeing my cousin brian, we always got along pretty well even though me and his sister gina use to bug the piss out of him. ;) he has kids now that are just too freakin cute! his oldest is like a CLONE of him... looks just like him! crazy how much he looks like him - facial expressions and everything! and he is a "writer" hee hee as soon as i sat down he came up to me and was showing me his "short story" that he had written about how he likes to go to his friends house and the things that he likes to do... im sure he'll follow in his fathers footsteps and be creative.... his dad likes to draw. Anyway he younger one Hunter was a DOLL... 3 years old and was just TALKIN away like a "little man" he was tellin me about his power rangers... mark asked him which is your fav color power ranger? hee hee - his answer - POWER RANGERS! lol which meant all of them! TOO CUTE!

Aaand of course i got to see my dad! don't get to see him much but he lives in TN so i guess there is a reason for it right? :)

Anyway he told me as i was taking pics that he expected to see them on my blog so HERE THEY ARE DAD! (feel free to comment too) which is something he never does :P *sticks tongue out* HMPH~

Me and mark finally delivered our CHEESECAKE last night, that we have been owing robyn since she quit her job. My hunny doesn't like her boss cause he is a womenizer and a "dirty" ol' man... he always makes nasty comments most of the time it's done jokingly or out of "having fun"... However mark has played golf witht he ol man before - quit a few times. While playing golf they get to drinkin which leads to complete SHIT FACENESS...if that's a word which leads to Heart to Hearts... so he starts tellin all his dirty little secretes none of which i shall name on here due to persons of the "subject" being able to read this... SO one day we are at a wedding of one of robyns (ex)Co-workers and everyone is having a good time or whatever... me and mark are shakin our booties on the dance floor a slow song comes on and while me and mark are SLOW dancing -here comes the nasty old man across the floor, drunk, dancing with his WIFE no less... and comes up behind me makes some kind of gesture to mark and then grabs my ass... YEP! GRABS MY ASS! i turned around cause i was about to start shit with someone, cause i ddin't know it was him and when i turned around he was smiling... i looked at mark and pushed him back to get away from the HAND and mark was smiling.. so i just assumed mark seen what had happend.. and was "playing" also.

Well when i mentioned it afterward i guess he missed the fact that he actually touched me cause he thought that he was just "playing" ACTING like he was gonna do it or something. or maybe he was feeling his whiskey... dunno. Anyway i was pissed about it and told my dad because he works pretty close with the guy and also goes on golf outtings with him. and that just started this WHOLE thing... and well to make a LONG LONG story short... mark has never liked him since and swears that if he sees him out ever again he'll tell him about himself. my hunny is very over protective of me like that. So mark told robyn a long time ago that the day she quit her job he would make her a cheesecake! LOL SILLY

well better go... gotta get all caught up before the end of the day.
